When you stop to think about a professional fashion photo shoot, you probably imagine bright lights, tons of flashes and glamorous models. Well, you would be right about that, but a professional photo shoot is more than just a fun day out of the office with beautiful models, wearing trendy looks.
Arch Creative Group recently took the next step for our client Moby & Tate with a full-blown marketing launch photo shoot. We headed into the South End of Boston to capture the looks that would ultimately determine the look, feel and photographic style of Moby & Tate. Our goal was to get great product shots and catch our models having fun getting wrapped up in Moby & Tate. The photos from the shoot would appear in all press, marketing materials and throughout the e-commerce site.
What unfolded was a heavily styled shoot with a team of creative designers, stylists, art directors, models and interns running around managing controlled chaos. And it was exhilarating! Our team handled all the talent selection (including stellar photography, hair and makeup professionals), wardrobe and art direction. The day had everything you expect from a photo shoot – high energy, clothes everywhere, beautiful models and lots of “hurry up and wait” moments. The behind-the-scenes action was the perfect way to see Moby & Tate come to life.
Even though we put in a fill day at Grange Studios at the Design Center. We still needed another day of shooting. After a brief first round of shot selection and editing, we headed back into the studio – this time transforming a dance studio into a photography studio – to shoot the remainders of the Moby & Tate launch collection. After the studio shots, we took to the streets of Wakefield to get the perfect fall lifestyle pictures. The excitement and energy behind the Moby & Tate shoot was a new experience for Arch Creative Group and certainly one we hope to recreate in the near future.
